5th October 2017
walking into the cinema, i felt a little uneasy.
For months, i had been questioning
"How can a sequel improve on something I had always seen as perfect and challenge me to think about the human condition?"
As Zimmer's final score for the film played, and the credits began to roll, I remained seated not for a post-credits sequence, but to appreciate the monumental effort and dedication that went into making blade runner 2049 possible.
by the time the credits ended, I was overwhelmed with the sheer amount of passion and ingenuity in everything from the visuals to the story, leaving me deeply inspired.
I knew at that pivotal moment in my life
that I walked in as the audience and
walked out as a filmmaker.

fast forward to 2020.
I started my Instagram page, and the initial push turned into a chain reaction that went from surrealist photography to an unrelenting, uncompromising drive that never stopped wanting to learn everything there is to know about the art of filmmaking.
From how they are planned, scripted, composed, shot, acted, edited, and made into a totally immersive experience that's simply not feasible through any other medium.
Starting from scratch isn't easy, but not starting at all isn't an option.
Being a filmmaker isn't just slapping on my name during the credits;  it requires real technical aptitude and it takes a great deal of commitment to learn various types of industry-standard software that each talk in different design languages.

my first short film. scripted, shot, edited, and scored by me within a week. a visual based on the jungian archetype "the shadow"

After 3 long years, of immersing myself in the world of film, these design languages have become almost native to me. the tunnel that once seemed so daunting at the start of this journey is finally beginning to open up, revealing new possibilities and opportunities.
With my extensive knowledge and unwavering commitment to the craft of filmmaking, I have the courage to break free from the limitations I started with and create an experience that truly captures the essence of my ideas.
This passion, which was first ignited in 2017, has since grown into a fiery obsession that has grown into every aspect of my life. As a multidisciplinary filmmaker, I possess the unique ability to script, shoot, and edit content that spans across different genres and disciplines, allowing me to tell stories that truly resonate with audiences.
I'm John,
I'm a Filmmaker,
and I am here to bring your stories to life.
